Demo of Course Merchant - Ecommerce for Moodle
Testing Course Merchant as a Student

Choose to 'Order' one or more of the following products:
Other products listed on the site may have been placed there by other testers and won't link to Moodle!!!
2. Click "Go to payments" and enter info.
Use your real email address in order to receive Moodle login instructions.
3. Check your email
In a few moments (usually less than a minute), you will receive an email with your Moodle login details. Feel free to login to Moodle. This is an out-of-the-box Moodle install with two or three empty courses - but it gives you the feel of how Course Merchant works.
Note: If you had used this email account for previous Course Merchant purchases, your original Moodle account would have the new courses added to it, rather than a new Moodle account being created. Also, if you had changed your password previously, your current password would be reflected in the email, not a new randomly generated one.
Things to Try
a. Buying at a Discount
There are many ways of enabling some form of discount. Here are examples:
i) Discount based upon order value In this example, buy http://www.instructionaldesign.co.uk/catalog.php?item=18 It is priced over £2,000. We have set a discount of 10% on all purchases over £2,000. We could optionally create tiered discounting - i.e. increasing levels of discount depending upon values purchased (or number of courses purchased).
ii) Discount based upon Group Membership We can set up groups of user types in Course Merchant and enable a discount for them. For example, we have created a group in Course Merchant called 'Pilot Students' to mimic a pilot course scenario. Buying from www.instructionaldesign.co.uk normally would not give a discount. However, Course Merchant can generate a special access url for each group - preconfigured with a discount level. Try buying a course using this link: http://www.instructionaldesign.co.uk/?code=pilot You'll notice it offers an immediate 50% discount.
iii) Discount Vouchers/Coupons We can also enable the use of coupons/vouchers for a set discount percentage or amount.

2. Choose to add a product using 'Products' link on left.
When adding products, make the catalogID identical to a Moodle courseID - this will allow integration between Course Merchant and Moodle. For there to be integration - you must create a corresponding course in Moodle Please let us know if you would like access to our Moodle to see how to set this up. Course products can unlock one Moodle course or multiple Moodle courses (see "Combine Courses" in product editing screens) - this allows multiple course enrollments from one product item.
If you use the word "Duration" in the course product options area, Course Merchant will monitor a student's access date and unenroll them after the specified duration.
3. Feel free to add some pages or some site extras.
Course Merchant can create an entire website or just the catalog element of a website.
4. Student Management can be performed via this backend.
However, we have turned that off in the demo due to privacy issues (many testers use their real email address).
