Course Merchant

Ecommerce for the Elearning Industry

Course Merchant is a fully featured e-commerce system that allows you to sell access to Moodle courses. A wide range of online payment processors may be used. Successful payment results in the automated enrollment of a student in their chosen course or courses.

Course Merchant is fully integrated with Moodle. Course purchasers will receive an automated email with their user account details and a link to login to Moodle.

The advantage of using Course Merchant is that you can set up a completely self contained and browsable ecommerce website away from Moodle. Course Merchant supports a full range of features that you'd expect to see on any ecommerce website system - e.g. product search, product browse, price search, related items, featured items, sale items, inventory (spaces available), etc. A full range of options may be set - for example, Course with Book, Course without Book, Summer Workshops, Campus Location - you name it!

If you wish, you can paste "Buy Now" buttons into Moodle. These buttons may also be placed into emails and other web pages. They allow students to register and pay for Moodle courses from any web location you choose. For example, you could put the "Buy Now" code into a marketing email or monthly newsletter.
